M. Lurdes F. Gameiro
Maria de Lurdes de Figueiredo Gameiro
completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, in 2009. M.L.F. Gameiro is an Assistant Professor at Barreiro School of Technology of Setúbal Polytechnic University and a Researcher at CERENA (Centro de Recursos Naturais e Ambiente, Universidade de Lisboa), and at RESILIENCE (Center for Regional Resilience and Sustainability, Setúbal Polytechnic University). M.L.F. Gameiro is the co-author of 1 patent about the treatment of spent baths from the galvanization industry with recovery of ferric chloride and zinc carbonate, and of 16 peer-reviewed articles. She also published 10 works in event proceedings. She works in the area of Engineering and Technology with an emphasis on Chemical Engineering. Her key research interests are related to metals recovery from industrial effluents and electronic waste, by liquid-liquid extraction using conventional and membrane techniques, thus contributing to a more sustainable and circular economy.
