Loukia Taxitari

Loukia Taxitari is an Assistant Professor of Experimental Psychology in the Department of Psychology at Neapolis University Pafos. She holds a Ba in Greek Language and Literature from the University of Athens. In 2004, she received an M.Phil. in General Linguistics, and in 2009, she received a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, UK. She specializes in language acquisition and development and employs a range of experimental methods to investigate these processes. She has worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Cyprus (University of Cyprus; Cyprus University of Technology), Germany (University of Potsdam), and Italy (CNR, Pisa), applying diverse techniques to the study of language across populations. She adapted the MacArthur–Bates CDI to Cypriot Greek and has contributed to the development of novel methodologies for language research, including tablet-based applications.
