Kusum Lata
Dr.
Kusum Lata
is an accomplished academician and Head of the Department of Political Science at D.G.C. Gurugram, affiliated with Gurugram University. With over a decade of teaching experience, she has developed expertise in Gender Politics, Social Media, and Political Theory. A gold medalist in both her graduation and post-graduation, Dr. Lata earned her Ph.D. in Political Science, focusing on the role of social media in shaping political awareness and public opinion. She has authored 16 research papers, one book, and 15 book chapters, making significant contributions to contemporary debates in political science and higher education. Deeply committed to research and academic engagement, Dr. Lata has presented papers in over 25 national and international seminars and participated in more than 15 workshops sponsored by prestigious bodies such as ICSSR and UGC-HRDC. Her dedication extends beyond academics into social service—recognized as an NSS Program Officer, she received a merit certificate for her outstanding service during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also delivered lectures at reputed institutions, including HRDC Sagar University and GC Sultanpur, reflecting her commitment to capacity-building and knowledge dissemination. Through her scholarly work and teaching, Dr. Lata continues to inspire students and contribute meaningfully to academia and society.
