Kimberly A. Copenhaver

Kimberly A. Copenhaver is a distinguished leader in the field of academic librarianship, currently serving as the Director of the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Library and Director of Access & Public Services at Yale Library. In this role, she provides strategic leadership for planning, policy development, operational effectiveness, and user-focused services within the Sterling Memorial, Bass, and Marx Libraries, as well as across the Yale Library Access and Public Services community. Kimberly's leadership emphasizes the unification of practice and policy to support an innovative and inclusive environment that is supportive of the research enterprise. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Scholarly Resources, she is responsible for leading policy development and shaping the strategic direction for public services, circulation, reserves, and resource sharing across Yale Library. Kimberly oversees a team of full-time library staff and student employees, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, aligning with Yale Library's goals for equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
