Kim Junghyun
Kim Junghyun
is a South Korean artist and a lecturer in Arts and Design at Greenwich Vietnam. Her career exemplifies a profound dedication to both artistic practice and art teaching. She obtained a Ph.D. in Art History and Theory from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts, after an M.F.A. in Plastic Art and a B.F.A. in Painting from the same institution. Dr. Kim's expertise transcends the confines of academia. She serves as the director and artist of the PONGDANG Gallery, an art instructor at Workroom PONGDANG, and a lecturer at Greenwich Vietnam, as well as a visiting lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts. Her services to the art community encompass membership in the HCMC Fine Arts Association, adjudicating at numerous art festivals, and participation on the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council. She has authored art sections for "Xin Chao Vietnam magazine" and delivered lectures at the Korean International School HCMC. Her artistic accomplishments encompass solo shows in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as involvement in more than 35 group exhibitions. She was awarded a consolation prize at the third HCMC Biennale Art Exhibition for Young Artists and has organized and curated 13 exhibitions. Dr. Kim's diverse career demonstrates a notable influence in both the artistic and educational domains.
