K. Kavitha
received her Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India and her Master's degree in Microwave & Optical Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India in She completed her doctoral degree at Anna University, Chennai, specializing in Hyperspectral Image Classification. Currently, she holds the position of Professor and Head in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Velammal College of Engineering and Technology in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Her career spans over 23 years, during which she has made significant contributions in the realms of teaching and research. Her research interests encompass diverse areas, including Antenna Design, Hyperspectral Image Classification and Optical System Design. She has published and presented over 100 research articles in renowned international journals and international and national conferences. Presently, she is supervising the research works of ten Ph.D. scholars in various areas of her expertise. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to education, Dr.K.Kavitha was honored with Dr.A.P.K Abdul Kalam Teachers Excellence Award.
