Julia Cohen-Levy
Julia Cohen-Levy
received her D.D.S. in 1999, her M.S. in 2003, and her Postgraduate degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2004 from the University of Paris 7, France. She then earned a master’s degree in medical law from the University Paris 8, France in 2011, and a PhD degree in Neuroscience in 2012 for her research on Obstructive Sleep Apnea. She also was a clinical instructor in the Orthodontic Department of Paris 7. Dr. Cohen-Levy is a titular member of the European Society of Lingual Orthodontics (ESLO), a member of the French Federation of Orthodontics (FFO), a member of the French Ricketts’ Bioprogressive Society (SBR), and the French Dental Sleep Medicine Society. She is a specialist in orthodontics in France and Canada, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr Cohen-Levy has been in private practice in Paris since 2003, and became a T-Scan user beginning in 2006. She has authored in several of international journals scientific articles focused on computerized occlusal analysis use in orthodontics, lingual orthodontics, and radiological anomalies. Additionally, she has been a member of the editorial Board of the Journal of Dentofacial Anomalies and Orthodontics until 2016, when she moved to Canada for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship on pediatric sleep apnea. Since 2020, Dr. Cohen-Levy has been the co-director of the Department of Orthodontics in the Faculty of Dentistry and Oral Health Sciences at McGill University, Montréal. She is involved in numerous clinical research projects with lingual and clear aligner orthodontic treatment, obstructive sleep disorders, Temporomandibular Joint disorders, and other rare diseases.
