Joseph Carver
Joseph Carver
is the Director of Student and Academic Services for OHIO Online. His research areas include the philosophy of higher education, applied technology, machine learning, and democratic theory. Carver’s doctoral thesis, A Clockwork Orange: Adopting Technology in Higher Education examined the increasing integration of technology into the social art of student advising. His publications include: Democracy and the Challenges of Correctional Education (The Journal of Correctional Education, 2016): Critical Thinking Versus Vocationalism: A Matter of Class? (Equity & Excellence in Education, 2015); MOOCs and Democratic Education (Liberal Education, 2013).
