Joselyn Barnhart

Joselyn Barnhart is a student in the Master of Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies. Joselyn is passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities so they may achieve their desired goals both personal and professional. She has a strong interest in mental health awareness, advocating for disability rights, and the impact of substance use disorders on individuals with disabilities. Currently, Joselyn is involved in a graduate research assistantship under the Rehabilitation Services and Counseling Department at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She is also active in community involvement focused on the importance of mental health advocacy and inclusion for all. Upon graduation, Joselyn aims to pursue licensure as a professional counselor. She plans to work in a clinical setting to help support individuals with disabilities and substance use disorders.
