Ioannis Kazanidis
Ioannis Kazanidis
is an Assistant Professor (Educational Technology and Databases) at the Computer Science Department of the International Hellenic University, Director of the international MSc in Immersive Technologies - Innovation in Education, Training and Game Design, Vice Director at the Advanced Educational Technologies & Mobile Applications Lab of the same University, and founding member of the International Association for Blended Learning (IABL). He has BSc from the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering Educators from School of Pedagogical & Technological Education (ASPAITE), BSc from the Dept. of Informatics from the Hellenic Open University, MSc in Computing from Coventry University and PhD in Educational Technology from the Dept. of Informatics of University of Macedonia. He has participated in several international funded research projects related to immersive technologies in education and educational technology. He has published more than 130 papers in international journals and conferences. His research interests mainly focus on Educational Technology and on the adoption of innovations in different fields of study such as educational technology, e-learning, AR/VR in education, mixed reality environments, learning analytics and tangible user interfaces.
