Heather Cato , Ph.D., is a literacy educator and researcher with a deep commitment to classroom practice. Her career spans roles as a classroom teacher, curriculum director, and professional learning facilitator. She holds a Ph.D. in Reading Education from Texas Woman’s University and an EC–12 Principal Certification. Her research focuses on the validity and reliability of literacy assessments and the development of teacher expertise in evidence-informed instruction.
