Gurwinder Singh Badal
Gurwinder Singh Badal
is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Chitkara University, Punjab, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics from Punjabi University Patiala on the topic 'Rural-Urban Migration and Changing Pattern of Urban Labor Market: A Study of Punjab'. His research interests include Labor Economics, Development Economics, Urban Planning, and Migration Studies. Before joining Chitkara University, Dr. Badal worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Punjabi University Patiala, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, studying the impact of COVID-19 on internal migrants in Punjab. Dr. Badal has over a decade of research and teaching experience. He has coordinated workshops, a national colloquium participated in numerous seminars and conferences, and worked as a research associate in various research projects funded by agencies like UGC and ICSSR. His skills include statistical software like STATA, R, and EViews. With a strong academic background and research acumen, Dr. Badal continues to make significant contributions to the fields of migration studies and labor economics.
