Gladys C. Suarez
Gladys Suarez
is currently a Ph.D.student and a Biliteracy Instructional Coach for her district where she delivers job-embedded professional development to support teachers of multilanguage learners in bridgework, translanguaging pedagogy, and sheltered instructional strategies. Prior to this position, Gladys served newcomer and multilingual learners in English language development (ELD) and Sheltered English Immersion (SEI), among other classes. Gladys earned her bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University with an English major, an English learner endorsement, and a minor in Women and Gender studies. Most recently, she earned her Ed.M. degree in Language, Literacy, and Technology as well as her bilingual endorsement from Washington State University.
