Germana Giombini

Germana Giombini is an associate professor in Economic Policy at the Department of Economics, Society and Politics of the University di Urbino Carlo Bo, Italy, where she teaches Microeconomics and Monetary Economics. She is also an associate researcher of the Money and Finance Research Group (Mo.Fi.R) at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy. Dr. Giombini graduated in 2001 in Economics and Business at the Università di Urbino with summa cum laude. A MSc. in Economics was obtained (with distinction) from the University College London in 2003, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Università Politecnica delle Marche in 2006. In 2018 she obtained the qualification of full professor of Economic Policy and Applied Economics, the national habilitations from the Italian Ministry of Education. Dr. Giombini’s research interests are related to applied microeconometrics and focus on the employment, investment and financial behavior of firms in the presence of imperfect markets, to banking, and to technology transfer. She has published in high quality international journals, such as Economics Letters, Small Businesses Economics, Regional Studies, and International Review of Economics and Finance, among others. From 2018 she has been appointed Co-Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Applied Behavioral Economics (IJABE), which encompasses how preferences, attitude, and behavioral issues influence economic agents involved in business and organizations. Dr. Giombini is also a member of the Scientific Committee of Argomenti - Journal of Economics, Culture and Social Studies, which publishes scientific articles in all areas of economics, economic policy and social studies, and provides a scholarly, international forum for all methodological approaches and schools of thought.
