Georgia Andreou
Georgia Andreou
is a Professor in Neurolinguistics/Psycholinguistics and Director of the Laboratory of Bilingual Education at the Department of Special Education, University of Thessaly, Greece. She is also the Director of the Postgraduate Program of Studies (Masters in Special Education) “Special Education and Training of People with Oral and Written Speech Problems” (joint with the Hellenic Open University). She is the writer of one book, 18 chapters in books and of more than 200 articles published in international Journals and Proceedings. She has also participated in more than 150 international congresses. She has more than 2.000 citations (h-index 27, i10-index 52, according to google scholar) and she is also member of the Editorial Board of 11 international Journals and guest Editor of the International Journal of Disability, Development and Education. She has been an invited speaker at Universities in Australia and USA (Flinders University, University of Sydney, University of Queensland, University of Massachusetts, San Fransisco State University, California State University, Chapman University, International University of Florida, University of Alabama). Her research interests include among others, bilingualism/multilingualism, language and cognitive development in typical population and in individuals with developmental disorders.
