Gaman Palem
Gaman Palem
is an acclaimed Indian comic book illustrator, media scholar, and educator based in Chennai. Holding a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Madurai Kamaraj University, he has illustrated over 200 children’s comics, primarily mythological in theme, and authored The Golden Mythology Series, an eight-book picture series that earned national recognition. Palem combines traditional watercolour and pen-and-ink techniques with modern digital methods to create graphic novels that re-contextualize Indian myths in contemporary settings.
