G. V. Mruthyunjaya Sharma
G. V. Mruthyunjaya Sharma
brings over four years of industry experience and more than three decades of academic excellence to the field of management education. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held several key academic and administrative positions, including Coordinator, Vice Principal, and Principal at the undergraduate level, as well as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department (HOD) for the MBA program. A VTU-registered Research Supervisor in Business Administration, Dr. Sharma is currently guiding three research scholars at the RNSIT MBA Research Centre. Under his mentorship, three Ph.D. degrees have already been awarded by VTU. He is also the recipient of a funded research project from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), which is presently in progress. Dr. Sharma holds postgraduate degrees in Management and Commerce from Bangalore University, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management (PGDPM) from NIHRD, Chennai. He has an extensive publication record, with numerous research articles, book reviews, and case studies published in reputed national and international journals. He has served as a Member and Chairman of the Board of Examiners (BOE) for VTU and other leading autonomous institutions, and has contributed as a Doctoral Committee Member across several research institutions. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to academia, Dr. Sharma was honored with the IIHM Teachers’ Day Award 2024 by the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM). The award ceremony, held on September 7, 2024, was part of the 9th edition of the IIHM Teachers’ Day Awards, organized in association with the International Hospitality Council (IHC), London. This accolade celebrates his unwavering dedication and impactful service in the field of education.
