Feride Zeynep Güder
Feride Zeynep Güder
works as an associate professor at Uskudar University. After completing a BA in English Language & Teaching at Atatürk University (1994) and an MA in English Language & Literature at İstanbul Kültür University (2004), she completed her Ph.D. in journalism at İstanbul University (2012). With an emphasis on digital humanities, she specializes in communication studies. She gives lectures on “Critical AI Literacy,” “City and Memory,” “Cross-Cultural Communication,” “Digital Media and Translation,” “Digital Culture,” “Discourse Analysis,” “Literature Society and Culture,” “Media and Truth,” “Media and Ideology,” “Memory and Culture in New Media Ecology,” “Political Communication,” “Postmodernism,” and “Techno-Culture and Critical Reading.” She received the “Best Presentation Paper Award” at the international CIM conference in the USA (2013). Later, she received awards for being the best presenter at the International Conference in Barcelona (2020). She is the author of two books: “Voyeuristic Gaze” and “The Language of Persuasion and Media.” She published Scopus-indexed book chapters. In addition to digital media studies, her academic trajectory follows a wide span: critical epistemology, critical AI literacy, digital humanities, meta-cognitive strategies and AI, and political epistemology.
