Faisal Amjad
Muhammad Faisal Amjad
is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), an Associate Professor and the Head of Department of Information Security, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. He is a Director of National Cyber Security Auditing and Evaluation Lab (NCSAEL) and the Co-Founder and CEO of Lynx Information Security (Pvt) Ltd. Dr Faisal received his PhD degree in Computer Science from University of Central Florida USA in 2015. He has served as a Research Scientist at the University of Nevada Reno, USA. He has extensive experience of cyber security research as well as consultancy with the industry and government agencies. His current research focusses on the application of machine learning and game theoretic techniques in the domains of IoT and network security and malware analysis. He specializes in dynamic spectrum access and defense against security vulnerabilities in Cognitive Radio Networks as well as wireless sensor and ad hoc networks. Dr. Faisal is recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship under the Institute of International Education 2010, USA, President’s Gold Medal for Top honors in Masters’ program 2004 and NUST-MCS Best Researcher Award 2020.
