Esra Pelin Güregen Dereboyu
Esra Pelin Guregen Dereboyu
graduated in 2018 from Marmara University’s Faculty of Communication with a double major in Public Relations and Promotion, and Radio, Television and Cinema, and a minor in Journalism. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Public Relations at Marmara University with a thesis entitled “Impression Management of Multinational Corporations: A Study of Multinational Enterprises Operating in Turkey.” In 2024, she earned her PhD in the Department of Public Relations and Promotion at Istanbul University with the dissertation “From the Construction of Consumer Culture to Postmodern Times: Examining the Role of Social Media in the Relationship between Love and Consumption in Web 2.0.” Between 2019 and 2022, she served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Istanbul Esenyurt University’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. From 2022 to 2024, she continued her role as Research Assistant in the Department of New Media and Communication at Fenerbahçe University’s Faculty of Communication, where, as of 2024, she holds the position of Assistant Professor. Her scholarly work focuses on digital communication, artificial intelligence, communication psychology, consumer behavior, and cultural studies.
