Emilia Rodrigues Araujo
Emília Araújo
is a faculty member in the Department of Sociology at the University of Minho, a core researcher at the Communication and Society Research Centre of the same university, and a collaborating researcher at the Research Centre of the University of Lisbon. She has taught courses in Sociology of Work and Organizations for several years and currently lectures on Methodology for Social Sciences, Social Studies of Science and Technology. Throughout her academic career, she has focused on topics such as the Sociology of Time, Culture, and Technology, developing projects that intersect these fields, with particular emphasis on scientific careers and academic mobility. Her interests in studying time and its relationships with society and culture have led to deeper exploration of methodologies for social engagement and co-creation. She has served as Vice President of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho, as the school’s representative on the Doctoral College, and as the director of the Master's and Doctoral programs in Sociology. She currently represents the institute in the ARQUS network.
