Elena Sandoval-Lucero
Elena Sandoval-Lucero
is an assistant teaching professor at the University of Colorado Denver in the School of Education and Human Development. She teaches in the EdD Leadership for Educational Equity, Higher Education concentration. She is the faculty lead for the Leading Change for Student Success in Higher Education concentration of the MA in Leadership for Educational Organizations. Dr. Sandoval-Lucero has four decades of experience in academic and student affairs settings in higher education. She has led strategic planning efforts and developed enrollment management plans at multiple institutions. She led the work of two institutions to achieve Hispanic Serving Institution status. Before her current role, she served ten years at two Colorado community colleges as dean of student success, vice president of student affairs, and campus vice president. She spent the first two decades of her career at several universities in enrollment management and academic roles.
