Dariusz Mikołajewski

Dariusz Mikolajewski PhD Eng. is engineer and scientist, specialist in IT, applications of IT in medical sciences, biocybernetics, and medical robotics. He works for three research centers: 1) Institute of Mechanics and Applied Computer Science, Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, 2) Department of Informatics, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, 3) Neurocognitive Laboratory, Centre for Modern Interdisciplinary Technologies, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. He is also member of the InteRDoCTor research team. Author of 125 articles and chapters in the area of medical IT, biocybernetics, and biomedical engineering. His research interests cover areas medical IT, Assitive Technology and intelligent environments of disabled people, includin brain computer interfaces, biocybernetics and neurocybernetics, includig computational models of brain stem, generation of consciousness and its disorders, and simulation of cognitve aspects of various diseases, biomedical engineering. He graduated from Military University of Technology in Warsaw and four postgraduate studies: in digital telecommunication, computer networks, project management (various methodologies), and management of R&D projects. His PhD Thesis covers topic of computational simulation of brain stem function (Thesis advisor: Prof. Wlodzislaw Duch).
