Claudia Pires Ribau

Cláudia Pires Ribau holds a PhD in Marketing and Strategy from the University of Aveiro. She is a recognised Marketing Specialist, with a postgraduate degree in Marketing and a bachelor’s degree in Business Communication. Since 2004, she has been lecturing in higher education in fields such as marketing, international marketing, relational marketing, digital marketing and communication, integrated marketing communication, advertising, international business, consumer behaviour, human resource management, and organisational management. She served as the Pedagogical Coordinator of the Department of Communication and Marketing (DETCOM), as a member of the Pedagogical Council, and as a permanent member of the Technical-Scientific Council of a Polytechnic Institute. In these roles, she led the development of new academic programmes (at undergraduate and postgraduate levels), coordinated pedagogical initiatives, and managed teaching staff. Her research focuses primarily on international marketing in SMEs, and she is currently pursuing postdoctoral studies. Alongside her academic and research activities, she brings over 25 years of professional experience in the industry, particularly in marketing, communication, and human resource management. From 2002 to 2024, she held the position of Marketing Director at a B2B industrial SME, where she also assumed strategic responsibilities in communication and human resources. She actively participates in several projects in both marketing (especially industrial marketing) and strategic management, and serves on the board of directors.
