Dr.
Cassandra Sligh Conway
is a Tenured/Full Professor at an HBCU. Dr. Sligh Conway is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds certifications in Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Resources, Global Career Development Facilitator. Dr Sligh Conway has served as Department Chair, Coordinator, and Practicum/Internship Director at different universities. Dr. Sligh Conway's research interests are in the areas of mentoring students/faculty, services to person with disabilities, wellness, disaster preparedness and prevention, and adoption/foster care services. Dr. Sligh Conway has received grants that total the amount of 2.5 million dollars. Dr. Sligh Conway has many published books and articles on pedagogical strategies, faculty mentoring, self-care, professional development, and empowering populations. Dr. Sligh Conway has held positions at different agencies and served on several boards in higher education. Dr. Sligh Conway has served in other positions over the years. She has held positions as a Clinical Counselor, Director of Case Management Services where she supervised 6 case managers, and Director of Practicum/Internship Experiences.
