Canyon Lohnas

Canyon Lohnas is the Program Specialist for the West Virginia Public Education Collaborative at West Virginia University. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Educational Theory and Practice in the College of Applied Human Sciences under the mentorship of Dr. Aimee Morewood. His research lies at the intersection of literacy, policy and education philanthropy. Prior to his time at WVU, he was a kindergarten and first grade teacher in Western Maryland. Canyon graduated from Frostburg State University with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2018 and remains connected to the Children’s Literature Centre.
