Candi H. Milcznski
Candi Milcznski
is a seasoned Special Education professional with over 10 years of experience leading teams and enhancing services for individuals with disabilities. She currently serves as a Benefits Specialist at the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services, providing guidance on Social Security benefits and work incentives, and conducting workshops across the state. Her past leadership roles include Director of the Gallaudet University Regional Center, Educational Supervisor at St. Joseph’s School for the Deaf, and Assistant Principal at the Louisiana School for the Deaf. She brings expertise in curriculum development, language acquisition, and student assessment. A national presenter, she has led trainings on classroom management, self-advocacy, and language-rich environments. She holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership, a BA in Elementary Education, and Deaf Education Certification, along with credentials in Elementary Education, School Building Leadership, and a 4+ ASLPI rating. She is also a certified assessor and trainer in Visual Communication Sign Language. Committed to equity and inclusion, Candi continues to lead through innovation, mentorship, and advocacy.
