Athish Venkatachalam
Athish Venkatachalam
is a Graduate Student at Clemson University, pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science. He completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Business Systems at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), where he held leadership positions as Chairperson of SRM IET on Campus and Convener of the Technical Team at the Directorate of Student Affairs. Athish is recognized for his expertise in Cloud Computing, Distributed Computing, and DevOps, and earned accolades in various hackathons, including being a finalist in the All-India Level Smart India Hackathon 2022. At Clemson, Athish serves as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Human-AI Empowerment Lab, where he is dedicated to exploring AI for Social Good. In addition to his research work, Athish is the President of the Clemson Graduate Student Government, having previously served as the Director of Clemson Graduate Travel Grants. In this capacity, he plays an essential role in advocating for and supporting the graduate student community. Athish was also honored with the Best Outgoing Student award in 2023 by SRMIST for his exceptional academic achievements, leadership, and contributions to the university.
