Arabela Briciu
Arabela Briciu
is Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences and Communication, Faculty of Sociology and Communication, Transilvania University of Braşov, Romania. She holds from 2016 a PhD in Mass Communication Studies Field of Research, from University of Bucharest, Faculty of Journalism and Communication. Her research interests are in the area of public and political discourse, social networks and organizational branding and identity. Her scientific activity produced in the last years was disseminated through several books and book chapters, more than 10 academic journal articles, more than 20 international and national conferences. She’s also involved in two Erasmus + projects: ReNewEurope - Rediscovering „NewEurope” – On-Wheels summer school for Balkan/Central and Eastern Europe trans-border history and politics, (2020-1-PL01- KA203-081999) and IncEdu- Developing Inclusive Education for Students with Disabilities in Sri Lankan Universities (609871-EPP-1-2019-1-LK -EPPKA2-CBHE-JP). Her work focuses on discourse analysis, mainly qualitative research on the discursive interaction between media, public opinion and political agents. At the same time, she’s been involved in publishing the results about promotion of cultural heritage and evaluation of mobile applications for cultural tourism.
