Aquil Mohammed
is a highly accomplished researcher and educator, this and they specialize in cutting-edge fields such as AI, AIoT, Robotics, and Deep Machine Learning, with a keen focus on complex sensor networks, medical imaging, surgical robotics, and structural health monitoring. Currently serving as Dean and Professor at Liaoning Technical University’s School of Low-Altitude Digital Intelligence since 2025, they lead innovative initiatives blending digital intelligence with practical applications. Prior to this role, they have contributed significantly to the academic landscape in Hong Kong, working as a Senior Lecturer at PolyU from 2023, where they received exceptional student feedback for courses like Programming Fundamentals, Operating Systems, and AIoT. From 2021 to 2023, they held the position of Scientific Officer at PolyU, spearheading projects involving robotic design, airborne drones, and network monitoring, showcasing their versatile expertise. Their career began in India, where they served as Assistant Professor at Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology, teaching Data Analytics, Big Data, and Machine Learning. Earlier, they worked as a Lecturer at BITS Pilani and a Research Associate at IIT Delhi, gaining extensive research experience. Educationally, they hold a PhD in Computing from PolyU, with advanced degrees from KAUST and IIIT Hyderabad. Recognized with prestigious awards, including IEEE best paper honors, they remain at the forefront of technological innovation and academic excellence.
