Anna Papadimitriou

Anna Papadimitriou is a psychologist and psychotherapist, and a PhD candidate in the Department of Psychology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens, Greece. She specializes in positive psychology and business psychology and provides psychotherapy to adults and adolescents, applying the principles of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CFT (Compassion-Focused Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and LGBTQ counseling and psychotherapy. She is also a seminar trainer and is actively involved in European and national research programs. She has written several academic articles and book chapters on topics such as self-compassion and CBT and is a speaker at conferences. Her main research interests focus on the principles of positive psychology, self-compassion in various populations, eco-anxiety, and third-wave therapies such as ACT and CFT. She has worked in both academic (e.g., teaching, supervising undergraduate theses, coordinating internships) and administrative roles (Programme Leader Assistant, Year Tutor) in the Department of Psychology at Metropolitan College Athens in collaboration with the University of East London. On a voluntary level, she has participated in initiatives against school bullying, promoted mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic, created Instagram projects to promote the value of kindness, and written psychology articles for online magazines.
