Anissa Guerin
Anissa Guerin
, a native of Hammond, Louisiana, holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Research with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University. She is an Assistant Professor at East Texas A&M University-Commerce, where her research focuses on minority women and girls in STEM, minority women leaders in academia, and mental health in higher education. With over a decade of experience in academic and leadership roles, Dr. Guerin has driven institutional improvements in completion rates, skills training, and leadership development. She has also contributed to program development aimed at increasing access and success for underrepresented student populations. Dedicated to fostering transformative learning, Dr. Guerin empowers students to overcome challenges and engages with the mission of academia through clarity, compassion, and a commitment to equity. She continues to champion inclusive practices that cultivate leadership opportunities for historically marginalized groups in higher education.
