Ana Cláudia Sousa
Ana Cláudia Sousa
is an Adjunct Professor at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia do Barreiro, part of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS), and a dedicated research collaborator at MARE - Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre. She earned her Bachelor's in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences and achieved a Master’s and PhD in Biotechnology from Instituto Superior Técnico. With over two decades of teaching experience, she specializes in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology, Biophysics, Separation Processes, and Bioremediation. Ana Cláudia’s research aligns with the One Health initiative, emphasizing bioremediation, ecosystem sustainability and resilience, and health literacy advocacy. Driven by a passion for innovative education, she also spearheads various projects focused on advancing pedagogical methods.
