Amy Serafini
Amy Serafini
, Assistant Professor, earned her doctorate in educational leadership at The University of Texas at El Paso. Prior to joining the academy, Dr. Serafini served as a school principal along the U.S./Mexico border for nearly a decade, where she gained firsthand knowledge of the complexities of leadership. Dr. Serafini’s leadership experience, coupled with facing her mortality in a near-death experience while on board a commercial airplane, deeply informs her research. By combining insights from her lived experiences and the science of mentoring, Dr. Serafini seeks to gain a more comprehensive understanding of how positive psychology and psychological flexibility contribute to effective leadership, organizational success, and well-being.
