Amena Zehra Ali
, PhD (Clinical Psychology) is a Senior Faculty Member in the Department of Psychology, University of Karachi since 2000. She is a Clinical Psychologist and Certified Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner and maintains a focus on evidence-based psychological assessment and therapeutic practices. She uses blended models of teaching with students by bringing psychological insight to her students and making significant contributions in the field. She served as a Syllabus committee member in HEC in 2009 and is currently a part of HEC’s National Research Program for Universities (NRPU 2025) as expert to review research proposals from students all over Pakistan. With a strong background in research, she has authored around 50 research papers in both National and International peer-reviewed journals. She has presented her work and chaired sessions at numerous academic conferences both within Pakistan and internationally. She had also conducted training and workshops on various psychological phenomenon. She also serves as an expert reviewer of MPhil and PhD thesis at various other Universities and an expert reviewer of articles in various reputed peer reviewed journals. She is HEC approved supervisor and has successfully supervised more than 30 MPhil and PhD students, and currently more students pursuing their research under her supervision.
