Ali Raza Shafqat

Ali Raza Shafqat , a dedicated advocate for sustainability in the textile engineering realm, stands at the forefront of incorporating modernity into deprived regions through ecotourism. Currently serving as a Lecturer at the Department of Textile Engineering and Fashion Design at BUITEMS in Quetta, Pakistan, and engaged in scholarly pursuits at the National Textile University in Faisalabad, Ali is a driving force in weaving together eco-conscious practices with contemporary textile engineering. Ali's research is deeply rooted in sustainable textile practices, as evidenced by his noteworthy publications. His contributions to the field include exploring the effect of spinning variables on the packing density of cotton yarn and delving into the circularity of materials, particularly in polymer composites derived from agriculture and textile waste. Furthermore, his work on eco-design in textiles reflects a commitment to integrating environmentally friendly principles into the fabric of the textile industry. Educationally, Ali holds a Master's degree in Advanced Materials Engineering from the National Textile University, where his research focused on developing a hockey stick with enhanced mechanical properties using nanocomposites. His Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering further solidifies his foundational understanding of the field. In his role as a Lecturer at BUITEMS, Ali has played a pivotal role in shaping the minds of future engineers.
