Alejandro Fuentes-Penna
Alejandro Fuentes-Penna
, distinguished Mexican academic and researcher specializing in strategic planning, artificial intelligence, and educational technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Planning and Technology Management from the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) in 2012. Prior to that, he completed a Master's degree in Computer Science at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), where he published two articles in international conferences and secured first place in the Technology category of the Third Banamex Award for Internet Evolution. Dr. Fuentes Penna has held various academic positions, including serving as a Full-Time Research Professor at the Escuela Superior de Tlahuelilpan of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH). His research interests encompass educational management, educational technology, complexity in social sciences, and bio-inspired intelligent scientific computing. He has contributed to multiple publications, including articles indexed in JCR and Scopus, as well as books in his areas of expertise. Throughout his career, Dr. Fuentes Penna has received numerous national and international recognitions for academic and research excellence. He has been awarded the PRODEP Profile (formerly PROMEP) three times, is a member of the State System of Researchers in Morelos, and was recently included in the National System of Researchers at the Candidate level. Additionally, he has collaborated with various universities and research institutes, including the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and the Mexican Institute of Transportation. Dr. Fuentes Penna has extensive experience in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, in both face-to-face and online modalities. He has supervised theses, coordinated educational programs, and organized significant academic events such as the International Space Week and the National Science and Technology Week.
