Ajinkya Nene
Dr.
Ajinkya Girish Nene
is a Senior Research Scholar at SUSTech, China, specializing in nanomaterials, mechanobiology, and bio-nano interactions. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Chubu University, Japan (2017) under the MEXT Fellowship. His work combines nanomaterials synthesis, AFM-based mechanobiology, and advanced microscopy to study immune cell responses to nanoparticles and ionic liquids, including elasticity, adhesion, and autophagy. He also developed agarose–gelatin nanocomposites for cell biomechanics. With experience in both academia and industry (Nanocrystals Technology LP, USA), his research spans biosensing, drug/gene delivery, and protein aggregation, with applications in nanomedicine and regenerative technologies. His publications have 700+ citations (h-index 11, i10-index 12).
