Aitor Garcés-Manzanera

Aitor Garcés-Manzanera is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Didactics of Language and Literature at the University of Murcia (UMU), teaching English language education across Education degrees. He earned a PhD in Applied Linguistics at UMU, plus an MA in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics and an MA in English Language Teaching. He previously worked at Universidad del Atlántico Medio (UNAM) as Director of the MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), and since 2020 has taught Academic English at University of the People. He is a member of the LA_L2 research group and has participated in six nationally funded projects (SENECA, MINECO, AEI). His research examines language skills, especially writing, in face-to-face and computer-mediated settings. He has published in outlets including Espiral, SSLLT, Miscelánea, JNAER, and LTRQ, and has co-authored books with IGI Global, Dykinson, and EditUM, with forthcoming volumes with Springer and Nova Science.
