Ahmad M. Al Yakin

Ahmad Al Yakin is a distinguished academic, researcher, and educator affiliated with Universitas Al Asyariah Mandar (UNASMAN) in West Sulawesi, Indonesia. Known for his interdisciplinary scholarship bridging education, digital technology, and human development, Dr. Ahmad Al Yakin has established himself as one of the leading figures in the study of educational innovation, instructional design, and technology-enhanced learning in the Indonesian higher education landscape. He earned his doctoral degree in Educational Technology and Curriculum Development, focusing on digital pedagogy and transformative learning models in higher education. His academic journey reflects a consistent commitment to improving educational access and quality through technology integration, cross-cultural collaboration, and applied research in Education 5.0 and 7.0 frameworks. As a lecturer and researcher at Universitas Al Asyariah Mandar, Dr. Al Yakin has contributed extensively to curriculum development and educational technology initiatives that align with the national vision for digital transformation in higher education. Dr. Ahmad Al Yakin’s research interests span virtual learning environments, generative AI in education, academic well-being, feedback literacy, digital resilience, and the ethics of AI-based learning ecosystems. His body of work explores how educators and students can leverage artificial intelligence and immersive technologies to foster creativity, empathy, and inclusivity in teaching and learning processes. His current research examines how AI and virtual reality tools can enhance learners’ cognitive engagement and mental well-being, particularly in post-pandemic learning contexts.
