Abderrahmane Ismaili Alaoui
Abderrahmane Ismaili-Alaoui
is currently serving as an Assistant Lecturer of Linguistics at Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco. He obtained a PhD in Linguistics, from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fes, Morocco, where his research focused on cross-cultural pragmatic aspects of language, enriching the field with insights on apology strategies and politeness within social contexts. Dr. Ismaili-Alaoui's academic pursuits have led to significant contributions in both published works and conference presentations. In 2023, he released two important books: “Pragmatics and Linguistic Politeness,” published by Scholar's Press, and “Effective Negotiation: Strategies for Improving Communication,” published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing. These works reflect his commitment to exploring the intersections of pragmatics, communication strategies, and cultural contexts. In addition to his books, Dr. Ismaili-Alaoui has authored several influential articles, including a notable study titled “Cross-cultural Pragmatics: Apology Strategies in Moroccan Arabic” published in the International Journal of Language and Literary Studies in 2024. Dr. Ismaili-Alaoui has actively participated in various academic conferences, sharing his research in Pragmatics and (Im)politeness. Noteworthy presentations include his paper on “Apology Strategies and Politeness in Moroccan Culture” at the 1st International Conference on Language, Literature and Culture held at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Fes, Morocco.
