Vinayak Chandrakant Shitole
Vinayak Shitole
is a seasoned professional with a combined experience of 5 years in the corporate sector and 2 years in academia. He has demonstrated expertise in International Finance and Expenses and is currently affiliated with Assistant Professor, where he plays a pivotal role in the field. Academic Experience: Prof. Shitole has been imparting his knowledge to the academic community. He has served as an Assistant Professor at RIIM-Arihant Group of Institutes since June 2023, teaching subjects like Financial Derivatives and Risk Management, International Business Environment, Marketing of Financial Services, and Corporate Financial Restructuring. His academic responsibilities also include supervisory roles, program coordination, and mentoring of MBA students. During his tenure at BVDU-IMRDA, Sangli, from June 2021 to June 2023, Prof. Shitole educated students on subjects such as International Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Enterprise Business Applications, and Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management. He actively contributed to university examination paper setting, acted as a paper checker, and assisted with NAAC Assessment criteria related to teaching and learning. Corporate Experience: Prior to his academic career, Prof. Shitole worked as an IT Expense Specialist at Optimas OE Solutions, Pune, from August 2019 to May 2023. His role involved managing IT procurement processes for North America and Asia Pacific, tracking purchase expenses, and closely collaborating with the global finance team. Prof. Shitole also worked as an Outbound and RMA Executive at DHL Supply Chain - Dell Logistics, Pune, for a brief period, where he was responsible for processing orders, maintaining order records, and coordinating with customers. Before his academic journey, he served as a Purchasing Executive at New Bharat Diesels, Sangli, from May 2017 to May 2018. His responsibilities included negotiating prices with suppliers, maintaining records of goods ordered, and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders. Education: Prof. Shitole is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Management Studies from BVDU-IMRDA, Sangli, with an expected completion date in June 2024. His research focuses on “A Study of Marketing Strategies for the Revival of the Wine Industry in Western Maharashtra, with Special Reference to Sangli District.” His research contributions span areas such as economic growth, cultural heritage preservation, enhancing consumer satisfaction, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering competitiveness, promoting sustainability, respecting regional nuances, and encouraging stakeholder collaboration. His research guide is Dr. Pratap Desai, Deputy Director, BVDU-IMRDA, Sangli. In addition to his Ph.D., Prof. Shitole holds a Diploma in Taxation Law from BVDU-IMRDA, Sangli, and an MBA in Finance and Production Management from the same institution. He also gained recognition for his internship project at RICO AUTO Industries Ltd., Gurugram, Delhi. His educational journey began with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from PVPIT, Budhgaon, Sangli, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from MSBTE-Shantiniketan Polytechnic, Sangli. Personal Interests: Prof. Vinayak is a dedicated and passionate educator with a commitment to contributing to the academic and corporate domains. He brings his unique blend of experience and expertise to the subject matter of the book chapter, ensuring that it provides valuable insights and perspectives.
