Praveenkumar Somasundaram
Praveenkumar Somasundaram
was born in the year 1985, in India. He got his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in electrical and electronics from Anna University, India in the Year 2006. He got his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, USA in 2010 and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California in the year 2013. In 2010, he was an intern in Qualcomm, San Diego. From 2013-2016, he was a verification Engineer at Seagate, Fremont, USA. From 2017-2018, he was Verification Engineer at Aricent Technologies Inc, Bangalore, India. From 2018 to Mar 2019, he was Member of Technical Staff at Mirafra Inc, USA. During April 2019- March 2022, he was a Staff Engineer at Qualcomm Atheros, California, USA. From April 2022 onwards he is working as Staff Engineer at Qualcomm Technologies Inc. at San Diego, USA. He has published ten research articles, six in peer reviewed Journals and four in international conferences. His research interest are in brain extraction from MRI of human head scans, brain tumor detection using MRI and image compression using DCT. He has received a best researcher award. He has served as reviewer for several International Conferences. He is a member of IEEE.
