Harrson Silva Santana

Harrson Santana earned his Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from University of Campinas, Brazil in 2016. His Ph.D thesis was the investigation of biodiesel synthesis in microchannels. In 2015 he spent several months in the group of Prof. Lee Cronin at the University of Glasgow (UK) studying the application of microwaves in inorganic reactions and manufacture of microdevices using 3D printers. He is currently an associate researcher working in the field of microchemical plants and the use of 3D printers in chemical processes. He has published several articles exploring from numerical simulations in the development of microdevices to the use of Microfluidics in chemical reactions and unit operations. His scientific interest focuses on transport phenomena in microfluidic systems and 3D printers applied to chemical processes in microscale.
