Camilo Peralta
Camilo Peralta
is an Assistant Professor of English at Joliet Junior College with almost two decades of teaching experience in the US and around the world. He is a former Wilbur Fellow at the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal, whose dissertation on Kirk’s ghostly fiction was successfully defended in 2021, and will soon be published as a scholarly monograph by Vernon Press. His research interests are varied, as is evident from some of his most recent publications, which include articles on the symbolic use of Tolkien’s dragons and a paper exploring approaches to the ineffable by George Herbert and Jean Molinet, a medieval French poet. He lives in Crest Hill, IL, with his wife, Li, newborn daughter Julia, and Cho the cat.
