Amir Talaei-Khoei

Amir Talaei-Khoei is a faculty member at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) where he coordinates an international initiative for Adoption of Assistive Technologies in Aged Care involving several universities, research institutes and industrial partners. Since 2008, he has been an active member of Asia-Pacific ubiquitous Healthcare Research Centre (APuHC). He has recently joined the Lab for Agile Information Systems in which he collaborates with his colleagues at UTS to build industrial partnerships for innovative technological solutions applicable in complex healthcare systems. He is also a member of Centre for Human Centred Technology Design at UTS where he works on the use of interactive technologies such as games for aged care. Dr Talaei-Khoei is a member of editorial boards for Australasian Journal of Information Systems and Health Informatics. He presently serves as an executive in Australian Association of Information Systems (AAIS). Dr Talaei-Khoei’s research interests lie in the area of health informatics, ranging from theoretical applications of agent-based contextual awareness in complex and wicked healthcare problems to adoption and management of technologies in healthcare and aged care settings. He received his PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia and holds a MSc of Information Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden.
