Keerthiraj
Keerthiraj
is currently with the Department of Political Science, GFGC Punjalakatte (affiliated with Mangalore University) and has previously served at the School of Law & Liberal Arts, Alliance University, Bengaluru. His journey is not one of overcoming odds but of discovering how knowledge emerges in places the academy rarely sees. Born in a forest village of coastal Karnataka, in a family untouched by formal education, he worked as a coolie, quarry labourer, salesman etc. to support his studies and family. These experiences are the ground on which his thinking grew. He completed his BA in History, Economics, and Political Science, followed by an MA in Political Science from Mangalore University. His PhD at Kuvempu University focused on Media, Public Policy, Public Perceptions, and Politics. His work spans political ideologies, diplomacy, public policy, strategy, and international relations. His teaching and research are driven not by trend but by a deeper question: how do we make sense of the world around us? For him, scholarship is not a career but a form of responsibility—to rethink, unlearn, and make knowledge that speaks from lived experiences and scientific inquiry.
